Your site presents the company, its services and a contact form. However, requests remain rare or concern services that you do not offer. Before looking for more visitors, check what a person understands when arriving on your pages: what you do, for whom and how to move forward with you. A useful request corresponds to a project that your company can handle. For a craftsman, this may depend on the type of work and the area of intervention. For a service company, the need, the schedule or the size of the file. Your site must make these criteria understandable without forcing the visitor to know your business.
A documented example: Storeferm
In a testimony published in June 2024 and updated in February 2025, France Num presents the approach of Storereferm, a metal carpentry company in Sarthe. Its digital development combines professional website, construction site photos, social networks and Google listing management. A specialist recruited in 2023 coordinates this activity with the participation of technicians.
France Num reports a strong increase in appointment requests and an increase in turnover of 17% compared to the previous year. The testimony does not make it possible to isolate the effect of the site among the actions carried out, nor to know the share of requests that are truly qualified. This result belongs to this company and this period. Read the Storeferm testimonial on France Num.
Share the requests you wish to receive
Take a few recent files that corresponded well to your activity. Identify the questions asked before the first meeting and the elements that allowed the client to choose.
Transform this information into visible answers: services provided, intervention limits, project progress and information necessary to get started. If several services meet different needs, give each one a sufficiently specific page.
A title like “Bathroom renovation” orients the visitor better than a general formula about your passion. Then add the details that matter: work supported, possible coordination and steps before the quote.
Show evidence that explains your work
An achievement can answer three questions: what was the need, what did you do and what constraint did you address? A few authorized photos accompanied by concrete explanations may be enough.
Avoid galleries without context. The reader must be able to recognize a project close to their own. Do not add a numerical result if you have not measured it, and present the testimonies with the agreement of the people concerned.
Also choose a clear next step. Depending on your operation, this may involve requesting a callback, describing your project or booking an exchange. The button should announce what will actually happen.
Request the information used for the first exchange
A form can collect the type of project, the municipality and a short description, in addition to contact details. Each question must be useful for the person handling the request.
Save technical details for later when the client cannot provide them easily. If a photo helps to understand the project, suggest its addition without systematically making it a blocking condition.
Test the form on the phone and check receipt of the message. Then designate who responds and how requests are tracked. A clear route loses its interest if messages remain in a forgotten box.
Measure the quality of contacts
During a period comparable to your usual activity, follow the requests received, those corresponding to your offer, the appointments obtained and the quotes accepted. Note the reasons for rejected requests.
If out-of-scope contacts decrease, your pages may better explain your offer. If the total number of requests also drops, check that you have not made the process too restrictive. The current season and campaigns must be included in the analysis.
Present your site and your usual requests to ISS Agency to identify pages and steps for priority improvement.
Transform reading into action.
An audit allows you to transform this idea into priorities adapted to your situation.
