Shopify Payments multi-currency payouts are announced for eligible merchants in France on Advanced and Plus plans. The euro remains the default currency, and other currencies require additional bank accounts.

What to check first
List the countries where you sell, the currencies collected, and those in which you pay suppliers. Identify the payout fees, conversion fees, and banking constraints applicable to your account. Then, compare two complete workflows using real orders: immediate conversion to euros versus holding the received currency.
A practical case
A store that invoices in dollars and pays a US supplier in dollars can reduce double conversion, but only if banking fees and the payment schedule allow for it. A store selling almost exclusively in euros does not have the same need.
How to measure the result
Do not confuse the currency displayed to the customer with the bank payout currency. Verify account eligibility before changing your prices or accounting.
