Shopify updates shipping and duty fees in Analytics more quickly and thoroughly. A displayed margin may therefore change even though the selling price and orders remain identical.

What to check first
Export five international orders with their currency, destination country, amount collected, shipping cost, and duties applied. Compare them against the margin per order report and the report by market, if your account provides access. Add other costs that Shopify may not necessarily know, such as packaging or provider fees.
A concrete case
Fictitious example: an order at €100 seemed to generate a €35 margin. The updated report includes €8 in overlooked fees and displays €27. The store did not lose €8 that day; the report is more accurately describing an expense that was already incurred.
How to measure the result
Keep a cut-off date in your spreadsheets. Do not increase prices solely based on a new figure: verify several orders and the actual cost per market.
